For some, money represents security, but for others, it's about status. Others have different views entirely. It's tough to talk about money with your significant other, especially if the relationship is new or you know that income differs wildly between you. It can be hard to come to an agreement between you both.

 

But it's not all doom and gloom. I spoke to Carolyn Wright on RTHK recently about how to make time, space, and clarity when it comes to household finances. It all starts with a conversation.

 

Finding purpose to money, establishing your combined goals and assets are, and planning for the future, are all great conversation starters when it comes to talking finances.
