Smashing the glass ceiling: the economics of getting DEIB right

Writer's picture: Eleanor ColemanEleanor Coleman

In a change to our usual conversations around finances, I spoke to RTHK's Carolyn Wright about how fostering a positive sense of belonging and inclusion at work can drive more profit, more retention and more positive change in the workplace - and the wider community.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) is no longer a 'nice to have.' The innovation, engagement and productivity of an organisation relies on positive employees who enjoy where they work and feel like they belong.

We discuss how marginalised groups can boost a bottom line, what leaders can do, and share a view across APAC to see where Hong Kong stacks up (bad news, comparatively).

Finally, join me and St. James's Place at the upcoming BritCham DEIB Symposium: Belonging by Design - A Journey of Inclusion where we'll delve deeper into these topics on 22nd February. Anyone with an interest or remit in Hong Kong's DEIB journey is welcome to attend. Tickets available now.
